Silverado cockpit
A custom digital instrument cluster and 15.6-inch head unit for my 2022 Silverado, designed in the style of CarPlay Ultra.

The factory dash in my Silverado is dated, so I'm replacing it. The goal is the look of Apple's CarPlay Ultra, where the gauges and the center screen feel like one system, built from aftermarket hardware and my own software.
The head unit is a 15.6-inch Android screen running my launcher in place of the stock home screen. It shows CarPlay and Android Auto, runs the climate controls over the truck's CAN bus, combines CAN and OBD-II data into one dashboard, and switches the off-road lights over Bluetooth.
The cluster is a separate 1920×720 display behind the wheel, running gauge software I wrote in C. It has three gauge designs and gets the song that's playing, navigation and temperatures from the head unit over a small protocol I designed for the two screens.
A truck simulator feeds both screens while I work at the desk, so I don't have to sit in the driveway to test. The launcher is now a product too: xOverland, built for GMC and Chevy overland trucks.
